The Lynches, in 2006, had their home custom built in the Whispering Woods subdivision. The home was set on a large lot of more than a half an acre overlooking the 8th fairway of the Golf Club. Collectively, we approached the landscape plan in phases. The first of these phases was the lawn installation and backyard plantings, through which we were able to establish privacy within the home’s wide open setting.
The following spring, we designed the landscaping for the front of the house, keeping the traditional style of the home and setting in mind. We later added two more planting beds, one along the property border and another near the intersection at the front corner of the lot. Finally, the brick paver patio of 680 square feet was installed as an extension of the existing covered porch to increase the outdoor living space, allowing plenty of room for entertaining.
